RC Slope Soaring in Hong Kong

There were loads of wooden boards ditched next to the garbage bin by the workers on Sunday. See the pic (Hole 3) above. If these boards aren't taken away, perhaps we can use them to cover the 3 holes temporarily to stop people from falling, as a safety measure before the workers taking orders from above. What do you say?

Since you have taken a day off tomorrow to look after the Holes. I do not need to pretend sick.
I have talked to Mr. Chau few minutes ago, he think the instruction will involve many parties, he will call the contractor to speed up the hole sealing work. If you find any large wooden boards there tomorrow, please help to cover up the holes with the boards.
Mr Chau is still working on this issue with various department, hope we can receive good news from him soon.

經過細心思考，我覺得要盡量向地政處表達我們希望和記設置地下電線的範圍。因為我們在清水灣有幾個飛場，所有飛場都會受到架空電纜的影響，所以我特別劃了幅圖，標明地段不能有架空電纜(圖中Point A to Point B)。各位對此有沒有多些意見？我希望盡快寫封投訴信，並有地圖指示，然後收集各位簽名，遞交給地政處。

原來抗戰還未成功。今天下午我請假到清水灣看看，見到地上之深坑已被木板蓋住，問題不大。 離開時看到在防撞欄近英雄灣處有一張紙，立刻下車看看，原來是下面的一張告示。

地政處在平日貼出告示，又只給兩日的時間給提出反對的人仕投訴未免有偏幫和記電訊之嫌！根據出示的圖，地下電線管道只在正東風位一小路段，其他電線桿離飛行路線還很接近，對我們的飛機造成極大的危險，而且在北風位路邊和英雄灣東風位的電線桿對在這

細看之下，才發覺不妥。 和記修改後之圖紙，只是將柱位 222, 223, 224, 225 之一段線改為地下鋪線， 即是說 柱位 222 前, 及 柱位 225後之一般高空線仍然存在。 柱位 222 及 柱位 225 將仍然會樹立在清水灣上空。 這一點便有問題了。
柱位 222 及 連住它的線正是東南風時的飛機航道。飛機撞到它們會墜落在馬路上。那處坐著觀看的人不多，但行人卻不少。
柱位 225 及 連住它的線正是東北風時的飛機航道。飛機撞到它們會墜落到路邊停泊的車輛上。大多數觀看飛機的遊客都會途經該處。

我明天會一早打信上的電話 2791 7038 給那位地政總處的黃先生， 向他投訴及解釋為何我們不能接受在 東南風位的三支柱位 (220, 221 及 222) 及在東北風位的數支柱位 (225, 226....), 同時希望他們要求和記將整段大坳門路之電線全放在地底。
他們的告示是 10月11日發出的，只有兩天期限。明天一定要抽時間打電話給他，否則日後撞機後賠錢事少，傷人事大。

相信現今政府歪政只怕傳媒及譽論壓力才能得快速解決，小市民從正途投訴只有被耍和被官員行使拖字訣待米已成炊!

I'm not sure but I might write an objection letter tomorrow or next Monday. I'll give them two days to just reply whether they will consider my objection or not or I will write to the ombudsman.

Think about when you need their service you wait for months. What a shame.

I think more objection letters will give them more pressure to the departments. Clear Water Bay is belong to every HK citizen, not just you and me. We have done everything we can and we need more hands.

When I called the officer this morning, I also complained about the 2 days objection time period during the week days. His explanation is the project run too urgent and it is an abnormal case.

I cannot believe the Lands Department can approve this overhead cable project. It was a mistake and they must straighten it out immed. If the project go continue without improvement, I think our next letter should go direct to the Office of Ombudsman.

Could you please perpare a letter on coming Sunday, let all our fellow pilot and visitor to sign the objection letter during the slope combat contest.
Any chance we can use a huge banner on site for objection, how much is a 3 X 10 feet banner?
Just ask the winner on coming Sunday pay for it LA! OK?
I have a idea, just use 2 of 3 big hole to stand two poles and hang a long long objection banner LA! OK?

Huichison has agreed to lay cable at the flying section underground. We just want the underground section longer because its proposed design still have safety problem when the wind is North-East or South-East. Mr. Chau is working with various departments now and I think chance of success is High.

As the Tai Au Mun Road near our North wind flying section also has the very good looking view. Being a responsible citizen, we need to let the officers know that the place there are also a very important site of Sai Kung. The stand up of the Poles and overhead cable will ruin the environment and destroy a sight seeing point of Sai Kung. If we set up a signing table there on Sunday, I am sure every visitors will sign their signature to show their support.

Once the worker set up the poles, it will be very difficult for them to be removed. So we need to stop the project progress as much as we can do.

Cheap excuse for infringement of our rights to serve commercial ends. If he thinks it's urgent then he's biased he just wouldn't want to receive any objection. He's abusing his office. Let's go straight to the Ombudsman and copy to the Environment, Transport and Works Bureau.
