Don't know about others or kids nowadays but when I was one and inspired a certificate or recognition would be the least attractive part to me.

Not against anything tho some regulating can have good purpose most important is how are we/you/anyone going to handle it in the future.

??? Your flying fields are already there: FNS, CWB, what do you need? A steel fence? If you want something by all means say it. And say it loud enough this government takes positive action when there's enough noise. Remember legal frequencies? Opportunities does arise from crisis.

If you're talking about fixed wing aircrafts the HKMEC had got their Yuen Long flying field from the government at nominal cost. How much they spend on it and charge their members is another story.

As for education, we have the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Union and several model shops offering aviation/RC courses. Again, the quality of these courses is another issue.

If these are what you want, stand together and ask for it, work for it. You won't get a large piece of land free of charge, near an MTR station and given to you forever, but you shouldn't need to wait until one of the boys you recruit becomes CE or gets richer than KS Li.

CT,
You are correct, I agree with most of your points. But there are a lot of things you do not know in deep.
We have a lot of pilots who can fly very well and qualified to attend Internation contests. But the expense for the trip stopped them.
If you visited Clear Water Bay in past months, you will reallize it is no longer a Glider flying site.
FNS is a good place, but it is limited to those pilots who has their own car.
The courses set up by model shops are too much toward to the business side. You can try using their service without buying from them.
We tried to book a public playground for Hand Launch glider contest, the return is the glassland is not for playing model planes.
I do agreed with you that we shouldn't need to wait until one of our pilots becomes CE for more playing sites. But making the sport more popular is one of the way to get more supports. I believe that if the Badge scheme is set right and more groups organize courses according, we can make the RC flying become popular faster, no matter they will stay on Gliders or not. In fact, I still feel that flying is a better activity than a whole day sitting in front of Computer for kids.

Ken, this hobby was never a free lunch. I doubt if the resources/subsidy you're relating to are truely justified. Some are better left to commercial sponsors. Once in a while people gets to organize RC event in public facilities... keep trying here and there.

If it was LCSD giving you that kind of answer I suggest you goto the ombusman, because they're not answering your question. From my understanding the only true purpose for a grassland is to herd cattle! So why don't they leave it to AFCD? The same goes for marathon on the highway, new year's fair in the football pitch, and so on... those officers just need to hear a big voice.

CT
PS Haven't flew gliders for some time... I guess one can still walk up the hillside at CWB?

likewise for roll and inverted flight. But if you're talking about an instructor then I think he should be capable enough to handle those situations.

Not a member myself tho...

Dear Chairman,

If a member of the HKRCSS does not wish to perform the 'Advanced' movements, he can choose to take the 'A' Certificate test. Of course, that means he is qualified as a 'Solo' flight flyer, but not as a 'Master'.

It is impossible to do a spin in a detla wing( 2 ch ) It must be a 3 ch (aileron ,elevator, rudder ).
Spin is a pattern that you fly your plan
in a very slow speed and even, use a bit rudder let it tip stall(left or right).
after it stall, fully elevator up and fully
aileron(same direction with rudder).
You must use a 3ch glider(with rudder).
