RC Slope Soaring in Hong Kong

星期日 (8月14日) 明愛青衣一社區中心舉辦了一個教學員安裝遙控飛機的課程。一行30多人會在下午 (2:30-6:00）到達飛鵝山試飛。社區中心希望我們滑翔機會能作出指導。我們共需五套教飛套件:有耐性之師父 + 師父控 + 徒弟控 + 師父線 + 接收機。 到時會將接收機放入他們的飛機內教學員飛行。

現在已找到2套，還欠3套。各機友到時若能幫忙，請與我聯絡。

Just came back from a holiday in Australia!
I really missed flying my gliders and logging to the forum for some weeks!

Ken, we have a F3F contest on Sunday, 28/8.

So I guess we will be very busy in the race and not be able to help them.
There may be frequency clash also if we fly over the southern slope in FNS.
Can you ask them to postpone futher?

They told me they want to complete their course before Summer holiday. So I think they cannot delay any more. They will only use 5 channels and they can go to Clear water Bay if they need. I will call them tomorrow to see if they can make it a week earlier, if they have problem, I will let them keep their existing schedule and found other teachers if necessary.

Talked with their instructor, they cannot contact their students as they know some of them will not be in HK next week. So I told them not to worry and keep their August 28 schedule. We can talk about our man power arrangement in coming few days.

Dear Ken,

Master Joe (my dearest enemy) could not join you on Sunday, and asked me to render assistance. Problems come. Firstly, I wish to hit the F3F record at MOS if the God blow easternly wind. Secondly, frequency jam, but it would be OK if your event run at FNS. Please call me if you need help in term of manpower, I would rather give up the race and let Stanley to win the F3F race (he....he...).

By the way, I am unable to join the committee meeting on Sunday.
Lastly, your poor mini NYX is sitting in my ICU (intensive care unit), and waiting the donation of a new nose cone. She will soar again in near future.

The training activity will be on this Sunday. As the day is same to the F3F race, I know we will have problem on the man power. But we only need 5 teachers there and they only need us for 3 hours, I think we can find the way to handle that. Are you going to be one of the teachers? If so, please confirm this to me so that 1/5 of the problem solved.
I do not know why you said there will be problem on the frequence jam, every Sunday if you looked at the frequency sheet, there are over 40 different frequencies flying. The activity only need 5 frequencies and those masters who do the teaching job will not use that as they are using it on the training plane.

What's the time for this training, I want to see how it goes

The group will arrive the site at 2:30pm, then we need to help them to tune their planes and put our Receiver into their plane (unless we can use their RC set for the training). The activity will finish at 6:00 pm.

We have the experience of teaching new players so we know how important is the Training cable. 5 sets of training set is necessary on that day and now only YC, ken, Ah Joe has promised to come and help. If any more masters has time to come and help, please let me know.

There are 10 families in the activity, each group has 2 families and we need to help them to fly their planes into sky and teach the members how to control.
