While the crazy pilots were sheltering under the thunderstorm at Ma On Shan today, we chattered about the Blue Ribbon Speed Boat. Though a bit off topic, it is much enjoyable if you are kidult and are aged enough.

OK, before Stanley complaining that I am hijacking this thread, here is the mini boat MOM at Victoria Park last Sunday after wetting through from MOS.

Hi YC,
I know that you will pump in some time.
The previous japanese link is the treasure of Blue Ribbon. Just kick the bottom index bar to refresh all Blue Ribbon that you have owned. 8)
By the way, several F3F pilots have one or two unbuilt Blue Ribbons. (No matter they are re-released or the vintage ones)
The movie is the Reef Racer from Aquacraft. We have several ships here to have fun together :D

This is the Blue Ribbon I have owned :D

Equipped with NiCd, it's the speed king in the pool of Victoria Park.

But that was long long long time ago..... gee...I miss those days

I recalled many many years ago it costed about HK$3 - HK$5 with RE-260 motor. I bought it because I think 成條臘腸 will run faster :!:

Of course, not disappointing that when she run in Mei-Foo water pool, she used to be faster simply with such basic 1.5v x 2 + RE-260 :!:

Few years ago (2004?) when I spotted a few boxes in Kong Wah Street, without any thought I immediate purchased one box for myself - so touching that the quality & details and nice memories all far exceed HK$18 :!:

I am still struggling if I should start building this new one with today's advanced technologies (r/c brushless) or continue keeping her in the time capsule :?
