¡@ Name: Stanley Chan MessageHi, Does anyone know where I can buy/get a Multiplex's MultiLock wing joiner for my Pilatus B4 which was shot down by Master Leung last Tuesday. The plastic wing joiner was broken and needs replacement. I knew there are metal joiners for Multiplex's wings but where I can buy this in Hong Kong. You help is very much appreciated. Stanley Name: Kevin Lam MessageHi Stanley, Thanks for telling us the newsgroup links. See you later! Name: Stanley Chan MessageHi Kelvin, There is an egroup for the RC soaring community, here is its address http://www.egroups.com.hk/group/soaring This is a worldwide group with many top RC pilots, you may get lots of soaring information from them. If you want to be more extreme, you may also like to join the F3F group at http://www.egroups.com.hk/group/F3F This group is for top soaring pilots doing F3F slope racing. If you want to be more relex and have interest in scale gliders, you may like to join the Internation Scale Soarring Association Forum at http://www.soaringissa.org/forum2/Default.htm Hope you'll find a group suitable for you Name: Kevin MessageDo you know if there is any newsgroup talking about RC hobby? I have tried to search but nothing is found. Please tell me if you know. Thank you. There will have supplies from AeroTechnic HK Name: Stanley Chan MessageHi there, recently I got some Micro Balloon from Chester and used it to repair my wings. It works well. Before that I did use white powder ¥Í¯» to mix with epoxy (Master Leung told me that, thanks), it also works. The difference of these two powder agents is that the bonding using Micro balloon seems to be a bit stronger but otherwise looks similar. I also found that CA super glue can also be used to mix with micro balloon and the bond is even harder and quicker, but of course we can't use it on foam. Thanks Name: f_k_c@hotmail.com MessageStanley, you are right! Mirco ballon is the best fillet, but try out this option : mix certain amount of baby powder with slow set epoxy. See if you can get good results. Name: joeboy MessageHi there, I thought I would let you people knopw about this great R/C Site I found - the web address is http://www.rcmodels.com I also see that they are giving away prizes, could be worth while looking at. Kevin Lam I am looking for Northeast Sailplane Products such as Dominator or Victor. But I found that the shipping charge I quote from the supplier is too expensive. Are there any buddies here preparing to buy something from Northeast Sailplane Products? I want to see if we can order together, then we can get cheaper offer or save more $$ on shipping. Any suggestion is most welcome! Thank you !!!! P.S. Any other gliders which prefroms and looks like Dominator or Victors I should consider?? Please advise me. thank you! Kevin Stanley Chan Hello, due to the limitation of living space and the constant pressure from my wife, I have to reluctantly give away some of my used gliders. Here is the state of these gliders: 1. VStar 60", the wing is perfect, the fuse is damaged but repairable. 4. MiniI 26", in good condition. 5. Tristar 60", a canard model, in good condition. 6. Ninja 60", in mild condition and flyable 7. Samura 60", left wing is damaged and may be repairable, the fuse is difficult to repair. 8. Condor 68", wing only, fuse is beyond repair Also, I have some RCM magazine from 1991 to 1995. It seems that, recently, we have a high midair collision rate in our flying sites and some causalties involved brand new gliders. We all do understand the feeling of those innocent pilots who fly in well behaved manor but got hit by cowboy flyers. Because of the clowded airspace in weekend, please be considerate when you fly close to the slope, observe the rule and fly in clockwise pattern if possible, that will make our slope safer and we'll all benefit from it. Happy flying! Deng Zhaokun about EMS 9/19/00 12:34:21 AM I fly the powered scale plane and helicopter in Foshan City. And I really want try sailplane. But I can not find a good one in China. There is not a suitable place for slope in Foshan, so I want to begin with a motor sailplane. Any getleman can tell me if it is ok to begin with something like nimbus4d(m), and what the price is in HK and How can I find it. e-m:gzfskun@pub.foshan.gd.cn Stanley Chan Hello, everybody. Will anyone tell me where I can buy some micro baloon in Hong Kong or oversea. I have a few sailplane wings to repair. Somebody told me that micro baloon is the best filling agent for repairing those cracked wings. Is that true? Thanks in advance. ¡@ fai spot landing competition 6/24/00 11:57:48 PM I'M HAPPY THERE'S SOMEONE WILLING TO ORGANISE SOME SORT OF ACTIVITY FOR OUR SOARING GUYS. I THINK SPOT LANDING IS THE MOST EASY WAY OF COMPETING CAUSE YOU DON'T NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS A LASER GUN OR A JUDGE. Stanley Chan Spot Landing 6/24/00 11:25:07 PM Hello, this afternoon in Fei Ngo Shan, I had a discussion with some pilots about organizing a spot landing competition. The response is very positive. They are willing to participate. Our initial thinking is: We will lay down some competition rules and then choose a day and site for the competition. We will have a trophy each for the champion, the 1st and 2nd runner up. We are now inviting comments from our fellow pilots. All views are welcome. Andrew Tang Flight Simulator 6/22/00 3:32:31 PM Anyone who can get me advise about which simulator is well for beginner and advanced flyer, for flying the plane and helicopter (Real flight deluxe, CSM, true lite etc.) and where can I purchase it in Hong Kong. thank you very much 6/16/00 12:24:17 PM Kong Help....help...........Skills of soaring????? 6/8/00 1:31:06 PM Anyone know what site offers the skills of soaring (basic and advance)????? Stanley Chan Trade-in column 5/6/00 10:10:33 PM Hello, our fellows R/C sailplane pilots. Are you interested in having a column in our web site for trading-in our retired sailplanes or parts? We would like to ask your opinion of setting up such a trade-in column and its style of operation. Remember our site is non-commercial and we hope to keep this principle intact.
