件風褸想造中褸!如果短褸的話,肥仔身形(須然冇乜)着落唔好睇!!中褸好睇好多,又保暖D ,下面冇像根,改用繩.大家覺得好唔好,

另外一樣安排亦想同大家研究一下,就馬鞍山分開比賽及降落場地一事,始終有一定風險.就中秋賽時,不少機手在降落時都險象環生,如果大風還要到傘佬那邊降落,應該更危險.

而我們一直用的F3F場地,左右都有一個凹凸位,並不是一條直track,左右兩個point都比機手位低,不容易看.所以提議將F3F track 向左移100米,因為那邊track較直,而左右兩個point同機手成一水平.至於降落就能回到現在的降落場,大家較有信心,不需要打擾傘佬,有能分開比賽及降落場地.

左邊場沒有右邊斜,可能 Split-S 不及側轉有利,但可以借大金鍾拿高度,較果就要試過先知.

由於左邊場比賽環境並不試過,不如就在十月份比賽試一試 :idea:

Yup, I believe we should explore the alternative f3f track as Angus mentioned in above. With Base A on left hand side so that during the 30 secs climb, the risk for crashing with landing planes on right hand side can be reduced :o

Also I believe the current f3f track we have been flying are very "special" in the sense that both Base A & B are much lower than the horizon :? whereas in other competition slopes, seems both Base A & B are more or less on pilot standing level :o

Just to further suggest we should explore that if wind speed continuous 3 m/s or above - since not many pilots are experienced with the lift characteristic for the alternative track and it could be difficult to retrieve the plane if no lift elsewhere :o

Many years ago I did fly and land in the paraglider area under very strong wind condition; I found that the turbulence there is much smaller than our current landing zone, partly because the area is flatter. Unlike the current landing zone which obviously has some wind sheer effects when the wind is strong. I am sure it will be much safer to land there than our current zone. The only problem is that we need to clear up a path for walking there. I will try to walk over there for landing tomorrow to see how it will come out

With regard to the paraglider guys, I think we can send them a message telling them that we are holding a big international event, so they are sensible guys and quite co-operative as we had two years ago. Today, I just obtained the flying permit from AFCD, so I would say we have the official permission to use MOS site that few days.

I also tried the slope on the left hand side last time; I found that the slope is not steep enough for F3F particularly for split-s turns unless you fly far out. The slope is not straight either as there is a ridge extended out obstructing the right turn seriously. I don't think it is good for international contest but it's no harm to try it again tomorrow

今日在馬鞍山兩邊走來走去試試不同的場地。在左邊傘佬位再行過去南面少少有一個稍為偏北的斜坡,東至東北風可以在這

度過位,在現時B點降落都應該可以,無阻下一個機手出機爬升(如果A點在左邊大金鐘處)

From the HK F3F Open 2007 web site:

"The contest will be conducted according to FAI rules for F3F slope soaring. A maximum of 20 rounds of contest will be run and a pilot's worst rounds for the first 10 rounds and the second 10 rounds will be discarded for the calculation of final score."

I think there is something wrong with the above statments. The followings are quoted form the F3F section of the FAI F3BJ 2007 edition:

5.F.1. Definition: This contest is a speed event for radio controlled slope gliders. A minimum of four rounds must be flown. The organiser shall run as many rounds as the conditions and time permits.

5.F.13: .... If more than three rounds were flown the lowest round score of each competitor will be discarded and the others added to obtain the final score which will determine his position in the final classification. If more than fourteen rounds were flown, the two lowest round scores will be discarded.
