It's very much depending on what you are looking for.

For speed, I would rank them as

MiniNYX > Nemesis (Shooting Star) > Banana, Bird > Ocelot > Fredy, Prodij > ..

But for aerobatic capability and fun to fly;

Prodij > Banana > Nemesis (Flap version) > others

If you rank them in cost (cheaper to expensive), it is also different

Prodij < Banana, Fredy < Nemesis < MiniNYX, Bird < Ocelot

Cheers!

Wind God, will you give us some strong easterly wind this weekend for the scale glider contest?

Just a few words on the 60" racer. For F3F racing, Mini NYX and Nemesis have very good records in HK. Banana, Bird, Ocelot and Prodij also perform great around the world. Here is a video of Ocelot in F3F race with 37.6 sec only :!: :!: :!:
http://www.dsmodel.cz/video/ocelotuk.wmv

I know that Prodij can go sub-40 in F3F as well.

For the price, I think the order should be

Banana, Fredy < Ocelot < Nemesis, Prodij < MiniNYX < Bird

The new Prodij is no longer as cheap as Stanley's one. Now, it comes with a new fuselage, pre-built aileron and ballast tube. Ocelot is barely below 2K while Bird is as much as 3K for carbon version.

The cost depends on where you order the planes from.

If you order them from dealers in US:

The cost for Ocelot in NSP is US$329.
Bird is US$339 from SoaringUSA or F3X.
MiniNYX is US$369 from F3X
Nemesis is US$359 from F3X
Prodij-V2 is US$319 from F3X

But as you know, we mostly order directly from the manufacturers, so they are generally cheaper.

I know the cost for the Bird can also be cheaper if order directly.

So the cost ranking list may be a bit different as you mentioned.

Banana, Fredy < Prodij-V2 < Ocelot < Bird < Nemesis < MiniNYX

I guess it's very difficult to make an absolute ranking due to different flying condition, different setting & different "fingers" - unless we have some repeative (i.e. not just once) man-on-man type benchmark against those racers to compare that

I would like to share so far I observe:

Speed & tracking : MiniNYX, Nemesis, Ocelot, Bird, Fredy are more or less the same tier which were designed for race

Aerobatic : Banana, Prodij etc are relatively more aerobatic & active. Of course, they are fast as well :o

Light lift* : MiniNYX, Ocelot can float and still run fast during zz.z lift - which is important for F3F 60" in Hong Kong :x

For $$, really depending on where to purchase (direct vs dealer vs 2nd hand) & the lay up la (glass vs carbon)

Ah ya ... forgot to mentioned that VV Mini Corado (even like Ah Mak's loooooong used version) always can out perform the others in light lift :o
