HI,

I am a beginner in sailplane. Bought an Easy Pro and a used Bee for learning. Have flown the Easy Pro twice and the Bee once. Interested in sourcing some saileplanes for begineers in particualr suitable for light lift conditions and have tough constructions. Having searched through this forum and hang around the web, sort out the following planes which are said to be good for begineer & learning:

1. The Goldberg Gentle Lady
2. The Great Plane Spirit 2M
http://www.greatplanes.com/airplanes/gpma0530.html
3. The Weasel-Pro
http://www.dream-flight.com/weaselpro.html

What are your comments on the above planes? Are they available in HK.

I have seen some EP Gliders in HK (the World Model made in China) very similar to the Spirit 2M & the Gentle Lady. Are they have similar performance.

Thanks

Andy

I believe the Weasel-Pro is quite similar to EPP Bee, why not try something different?

The Gentle Lady and Spirit 2M are constructed with balsa ribs. There are quite old designs and I don't think the manufacturers are still producing them. There are many newer models in the market with better performance for light lift and speed. If you have already flown the Bee and Easy Pro without problem, then you would probably be interested in getting a moldy such as Micro Floh, Destiny, Shooting Star, Banana or MiniNYX, but of course it all depends on your budget and experience.

Stanley,
He only have 3 flights in total, I don't think the Banana is suitable for him at this moment.
MiniNYX is easier to control, but still require a bit more skill to land.

I suggest new plots should stay with wood and EPP planes until they are confident with the landing.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. As advised by other old hands, the weasel is very similar to my BEE. I will therefore stick to my Bee.

The moldies advised by Stanely are really tempting. I will get one of those famous moldies after practicing more with Easy-Pro.

Thanks
