HKRCSS was invited to represent in the judging panel in a paper glider contest organized by Red Bull. This Paper Wing contest is Hong Kong Qualifier to the worldwide paper plane contest to be held in Austria later.
We are honored that the organizer also invited us to exhibit our r/c sailplanes and to demonstrate electric glider flying during the contest. The contest will be held on 4 April, 2006 in Hong Kong Int. Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay. Please see

Now, we call for help in the following items:
1. Planes borrowed for display:
Two big scale gliders,
One F3F plane,
Some small gliders, EPP, glass, 3D whatsoever

2. DVD movies about r/c soaring

3. Flightsim setup in protable PC

We also need someone who can demonstrate 3D electric flying in the exhibition hall.

Can you help?

Stanley

The run down of this event is posted in
http://www.hkrcss.org/RedBullPaperWings.html

Ah Kin and his friends will be demonstrating 3D flying in the exhibition hall.
I have asked Tsz Ming to borrow a beautiful Airliner for display, however, we still need to borrow one or two beautiful scale gliders and other stuff for display.
Y.C. will be responsible for the DVD shows.
Ah Pong, would you be able to setup a F3F flight sim on site?

:P I would be free that evening. However, setting up F3F slim on notebook seems
not viable. At least, not on my notebook
(my notebook is rather old, a P III with 6MB of display RAM. More importantly, the
operating system is still GIRLFRIEND 7.0, not yet upgraded to WIFE 2.0 or
MOTHER 1.0.2!!!).

CRRSIM needs a powerful computer, together with a fast display card. Most of the
notebook just could not able to run it smoothly.

Who have a faster notebook? We might have a try before the event.
:P :P

I guess if they can fold a piece of paper to make good a glider, they can also do the same as yours to prolong the duration.

Please be reminded that the paper glider contest will be held tomorrow night, 6:30pm. The organizer will allow us to set up the exhibition earlier from 4:30pm.
How many of you will come? We still need to get a beautiful scale glider for display, please bring it there if you have one. I will take a F3F plane and a 60" plane there.

Thanks again for the fellow pilots for demonstrating 3D flight in such a small area.
Impressed!
