Everyone who saw the race by Stanley and Kin must be very impressed. I think that an "One on One" pylon racing is a very good alternative to the traditional unlimited class MoM. It both have the thrill of Man on Man and the safe and easy set up of F3F.

My proposition is:

Race setup:
1, Two turning points, 100m apart. One line judge at each point. CD and Pilots at the center. (Same as F3F)
2, 30 seconds climb up time. Race commences after the 30 seconds expired. (Same as MoM)
3, 16 legs. Who completes it first wins. (Same as MoM)
4, 1 cut results in an extra penalty lap. 2 cuts DNF. (same as MoM)
5, In case of mid-air emergency, both planes turn right unless it will turn the plane into the slope.

Scoring:
1, Race matrix.
Example, 15 competitors. Each competitor matches with all the others. So 14 heats for each competitor. Total 15C2=105 heats. (Equivalent to 7 rounds in F3F)
2, For each heat, 1 mark for win, 0 mark for loss or DNF. Highest total score the Champion.

The pros of One on One pylon racing are:
1, Less chance of mid-air than in MoM. There is only one another sailplane to take care of.
2, Only two planes in the air, so one line judge in each base is enough.
3, Easy race matrix.
4, Fair race, both pilots fly in the same air. Good for bad air too.
5, Simple equipment.

The con of One on One pylon racing is:
1, Less chance of spectacula mid-air than in MoM.

If you like the idea then we can work out the detail rules and design a new equipment. :P

飛行時金睛火眼咪得囉
你昨天咪飛得幾好!

如果真係炒機而要買新機
可以去亞Kin度買國貨 (Ah Kin 要比 discount 呀 !)
咁 OoO 亦算係有助經濟起飛啦

Instead of "fastest to complete fix amount of lap", I would like to propose "most number of completed lap in fixed time" which is in line with the Task B of F3B. It requires most tactics to complete/survive within the fix time rather than "fight to occupy the best fit band"

阿邦旁述話我D qouta 已經用灑,再出事就要自已補!

依傢仲有兩隻機還未補,再出事就無機飛啦!
不過大機 Man on Man 真係好刺激,C.M.要諗諗怎樣 搞番個比賽。有冇飛友夠膽參賽呀?

You need to "occupy the best fit band" in order to get "most number of completed lap in fixed time".
