F3F第八場賽事原定在8月12日星期日舉行,由於天文台預測本星期日有好東風,現提議早一星期舉行,即8月5日,大家有冇意見 Question

Given Big Yeung not available & unknown schedule for Stanley, better don't re-schedule Match 8 from 8/12 to 8/5 Surprised

Instead, should be good to run informal race this weekend Surprised See if we can actively invite more "new" commers (e.g. Trinity f3b x-tail, Acacia 4, Crossfire - yellow / white) to participate Surprised Take a look into recent Taiwan f3f event, seems they have lots of pilots (over 40) joining the race Exclamation

p.s. No worry for Base A / B poles, we should able to make them - like Match 1 in HJP early this year Idea

大家留意,八月份比賽將會跟原定計劃,在八月第二個星期日舉行 Exclamation

由於明天,即八月五日吹大東風,我們決定在馬鞍山進行一次 F3F 練習賽,成績不會計算在 "Hong Kong 2007 F3F League",歡迎如有機友參加 Exclamation

記得早上9時半開賽。最後一個回合在3時半前開始 Cool

Two planes were damaged badly Sad

Ah Wai, are you going to repair the NewSting for next weeks race ?
If you can't get it repaired in time, you can fly my NewSting for the race. Just tell me to bring it.

Yes,
The Trinity F3B was fast to hold the speedy man for a while. The 102.xx s is mainly due to the incapability to climb, maybe over bsllasted, during launch and thus didn't make the initial speed.
I quitted the contest due to a stupid landing under low wind condition. I cracked the tail boom and decided to quit rather than inducing further damage. Save me less effort to align the geometry. Yet, it worth to let the speed title off to Ah Kin with the roll of wire Wink

Yesterday informal race was really a very fruitful practice, although very pity for the mid-air after the race Surprised

It’s so well organize that we were able to conduct total 14 rounds, with each pilot flying with 1 + 1 rounds (first normal launch, then one more round with bufferfly start before landing). We experienced changing conditions with different mixes of wind speed, thermal & lift conditions Idea For those who did not participation in the race, there was a big rain in the middle of round #1 & round #2 which forced the race to pause. That’s why some pilots flying in later order experienced non-promising lift after the rain (and therefore difficult to making 4x.xx results) Idea

Also yesterday made-to-F3B planes proved their capability in slope racing Surprised see the 42.xx top speed by Ceres F3B & Trinity F3B – watch out Idea

Thanks thanks to everyone including Ah So for setting up the Shelter, Ah Yeung & Ah Mak for Talkies, Ah Kin for Bamboo and Angus for bring time gears & compilation of results & personal best Idea
