According to Winguru, we will have weak easterly wind in the morning of 26/8, and the wind will be getting stronger in the afternoon but the direction will also be changed to southeasterly. So, where should we go to hold the contest? If it is in Ma On Shan, the wind may be shifted too southerly in the afternoon. I still believe Leung King is a bit more secured. Shall we make the final decision on Saturday night? Please let all other pilots know.

I am really sick of lacking good wind to fly for a long time! The record I hold is on 28/8/2005 exactly two years ago! What have we done wrong!

Hey Stanley. Although we are in the same team (SMP), but don't drag me down to the water.

I suggest you to use "what have I done wrong" instead of 'what have we done wrong', as many fellows won't agree with you.

On the other hand, I opt for MOS as I don't like Leung King site.

Need to hike up or not is not my concern.

I am personally more concern on the wind direction and the possibility of holding many rounds of contest.

In Ma On Shan, if the wind is weak (<15km), we are more likely to be interrupted by variable wind directions and speeds, and also, the paraglider guys.

I believe in Leung KIng, the wind is more stable although the site is not straight and landing is a bit more challenging.

More views please!

Hey hey ... after praying to wind god day-n-night and night-n-day :?

Now E wind is shifting from Monday to Sunday la :o

See windguru prediction this morning (for SUN)

11am : 9km/h ENE
14pm : 13km/h ESE
17pm : 13km/h ESE
20pm : 16km/h E

So likely we should race at Ma On Shan without ballast  and perhaps sleep more before moving up to Ma On Shan as early morning no wind anyway 8)

Already collected f3f timer from Angus, will bring it to slope tomorrow :o

Now discharge / re charge timer batteries (NiMH AA size x 8) - seems those batteries no longer have nice retention capacity like new batteries, better have someone bring along spare Tx batteries as backup :o

既然大多數機友都選擇馬鞍山,明天就係馬鞍山比賽。上午9時上到山上,希望可以在10時之前開賽。各位機友請準時出席以免延誤比賽進度,謝謝!

The wind today is marginal. 14 pilots have joined the race and 8 rounds of contest were completed in variable conditions. Congratulation to the winners:

Champion: Ah Kin
1st Runner up: Ah Pong
2nd Runner up: Fat Fai
Speedy man: Fat Fai

Here is the detailed result

My memory card in the camera was failure today. So I do not have any photo. Please post some of your photos here.

Cheers!

星期日能夠實8個回合已經好好啦 :!: 台灣啲機手就慘,雖然十幾米秒強風,但桃源谷好似桃源仙境,全日大霧,能見度不足三十米,一回合都賽唔道 :x
