Shall we follow our discusion to schedule next F3F race on Feb 11 (i.e. 2nd Sunday of Feb) :o

May be select Feb 25 as backup :?: Given that Feb 18 = CNY :!:

I have proposed to go F3F contest on 4 Feb, .ie. this Sunday!

I have permission to leave from my wife so no matter what kind of wind it is I will definitely GO!

Shall we stick to the original schedule?

Easterly wind ->
Ma On Shan or Ko Lau Wan or Pak Lap Wan
(Which one you guy prefer?)

Northeastery wind ->
High Junk Peak

Northery wind ->
We need to find a new north slope, if not can we go to Clearwater Bay north slope ? (I know plane pick up is difficult there, but you guys are master now, no need to worry about landing accuracy)

No wind ->
go DLG F3F

(Wing, please modify the title to Feb 4 not Feb 7)

The arrangement is fine. I'd like to post the official F3F calendar in HKRCSS website.

Let's separate in League 1 (Jan to Jun 07) and League 2 (Jul to Dec 07). One race will be held in the 1st Sunday. Result of each race will be normalized and 3 personal best races will be added as the final score for each league.

The race on 7 Jan is counted in League 1 so that Mak is the leader now. The come one is :!: 4 Feb :!: Weather forecast is promising at this moment :D except with one or two rain patches. Thus, MOS seems more suitable than the remote islands.

If weather is not preferable, like strong north wind, I'd suggest postpone the race to next Sun (given that no other HKRCSS activity is arranged) until we find a more suitable northern slope.

For southerly wind, I'd suggest going to Fei Ngo Shan (South Peak) with 60" which can also be counted as the league result because some pilots still have concern for landing their F3F ship in FNS South Peak.

Hi Gents

Thanks for the clarification :!: I'm fine to go with Feb 4 (with Feb 11 as backup) :o

Copy Stanley, subject modified (in fact originally I mean Feb 07 = Feb 2007)

I am sorry that I don't notice the DS event. I hope the weather is fine this Sunday so that we don't need a backup. If a backup is really required, let's fix at 25 Feb to avoid DS event and Lunar New Year.

Moreover, do anyone keep the timing gears and pos? If you may not come, please let me know and I'd collect them on Saturaday.

Please also remember to charge the walkie-talkies as I hear that CD needed to shout for annoucement in the last F3F race.

Super! A merit for you!
Will it jam our RC frequency. I re-called in the days while using the wireless inter-com device in model car racing, some problems occured because of radio jam.
Better to bring along the hard-wire system as backup.

Hi Big Yeung,

It uses 433MHz. I think it should not cause any problem with our RC.

Hi Ah Kin,

Isn't Waigo closed at 7:30PM?

Tell me where can I find a job with working time from 5:00PM to 7:30PM :x :x :x

e.g. Old Mac part-time, likely to be toilet cleaner. But it can't support the F3F sport! Ha ha!

Thanks so much for the contribution from C M :o Look forward to the "sexy" wireless timer 8)

The weather forecast (as of Feb 1 12pm) looks promising too ... forecast has been shifting from rainy on Feb 4 to just cloudy with East force 4 8)

Ah Kin may be consider open a mini-Waigo counter on MOS so that you can sell RC stuff on Feb 4 all day long :idea: without rushing back for report duty at 5pm :idea:

That's gratz :!: I test my remote system and the range is only 30m. Thus, we can reduce the major load for timing gear.

Let's start the race a bit early this Sunday, said 9:30, with all setup ready. Last round starts at 3:30pm as I have to leave earlier as well.

The weather forecast (as of Feb 2 12pm) looks even more promising ... forecast has been shifting from cloudy on Feb 4 to sun shine and East force 4 - 5 8)

How about we start the race sharp at 9:30am as proposed by Angus :?:

Perhaps the SPEED MAN of the race already broke the record before Pong Pong join at noon time :idea: hehe :o

The weather forecast would be similar tomorrow with strong easterly wind in the morning and dropping down sharply in the after 12:00 - 1:00pm. Thus, we shall try to finish as many rounds as possible in the morning session.

Moreover, I try to contact YC today but in vain. I think it is necessary to prepare bamboo and plastic bags for contingency.
