Dear fellow pilots,

We originally wanted to start the first F3B contest last summer to build up some interest in F3B type of contest locally. But unfortunately, we do not have sufficient number of pilots who are interested in F3B.
Although F3B is very popular in other countries, Hong Kong is definitely not yet started. Perhaps, it is due to lack of flying sites for F3B contests. Master Leung told us in last meeting two weeks ago that, there is a big grass field in Tin Shui Wai near the Wetland Park in Yuen Long which is big enough for winch launch of big F3B planes. So we decided to try to hold a F3B contest flying demonstration and gathering there on 23 December. Obviously, if you have a F3B/F3B glider with a tow hook on it, you would be able to winch launch it and try the F3B pattern of flying. Now I would like to check whether you are interested in coming to this gathering and demonstration so that we can make the preparation.

I am interested to see how the game is. But it is no longer electric winch but man powered winching? The winch and launching equipment are heavy and expensive!!

The scheduled F3B flying demonstration will be this Saturday. Look like that not many pilots are interested in. We have difficulty to organize this event, one of the reasons is we still couldn't find a suitable flying site for winch launch. Y.C.'s has a winch launcher but he himself will not be available this Saturday. Any suggestion? Cancel the event or change it to other type of flying gathering?

We cannot find a suitable place to run the demo also. So we need to postpone this demonstration event until we solved the venue issues.
