Who know how much money we will expend in UK(Total)?

We spent around HK$13,000 each during our 8-day trip for Wales Open including air tickets, hotel, car rental, meals and everything. Thus, I'd expect similar expenses in Scotland VR2006.

Kin Kin, I'll support you, of course not on $$$ and time, coz I've no money and can't squeeze my time for you. But I can help you to time with KIN KIN factor, not PongPong factor. Also I can back you up with my slow flying F3F planes if they can last till that moment. So you can focus on 1 top weapon la!
One alternative that might secure an entry to VR2006 is to check for any manufacturer sponsoring the function. Change your 'pier' to that manufacturer by using their planes and tell Ms Chan to make a purchase order in qty of 109,700 planes immediately with advance payment.
Usually the organizer may reserve some entries for their sponsor parties. It will be easier than to seek for sponsorship from CX. Haha!

Weather forecast is Northeast force 4 to 5 in the coming Sunday. I think High Junk Peak is a bit better than Lung Ha Wan in terms of lift and speed for F3F.

I think high junk is better ,because I have fly at last sunday. So many kite with the string float in sky,my friend's epp "win lottery",damage the leadingedge. We fly the F3F like rally racing !
(Sunday no good for competition!)

Agreed. The flying site that we just had the scale glider contest may not be good for F3F as the kites will be one of our biggest enemies though the site offers easier landing path than High Junk. Besides, I wonder the ridge is wide enough to set for a 100m track.
Should we consider the site next level up?

High Junk is good for small group racing or practice. It's difficult to land with considerations to crowded pit area at the top and the landing track is too close to the hiking path where it may frequently be occupied by hikers.

I think we have discussed before, that if the wind is not favorable, the race will be scheduled to the following week:

如果因風力或風向不對勁,所有比賽跟以下時間表順廷下去。
18 December 2005 (Sunday)
8 January 2006 (Sunday)
15 January 2006 (Sunday)
22 January 2006 (Sunday)
12 February 2006 (Sunday)
19 February 2006 (Sunday)

So do we have to fly in the coming Sunday?

We still need some time to confirm the F3F performance of Lung Ha Wan NE slope. Thus, High Junk Peak is a better choice for this Sunday if the wind is NNE force 4-5 as forecasted.

Latest forecase on Dec 18 seems to be 東至東北風 4 至 5 級 :o just wonder ok for High Junk Peak

Suggest to start the race may be a bit early say 9:30 am (instead of 10:30am). More run mor fun ! Also from past experience the wind / lift conditions may get bad in the afternoon
