Stanley,

假如用5分作最高分,很容易又會出現同分勝出。到時又會頭痛。 我覺得分組會較好,同時動態美不要定得太重要,只要能飛行一段時問,又能降落便可。 計外觀分要以降落後之外觀作準。

I think flying is an important aspect of a scale contest. The constestant must fly the model scale like. If it is a Nimbus, thermal circling on its flex wings would definitly show the elegance of its real counterpart. If it is a Fox, we would like to see it performing 4 points rolls or high speed low passes. The pilot must be able to show the flying characteristic of the real plane in order to get high score.

If landing failed and damaged the model, I think we should deduct the flying score only. It should not affect the static score (unless the failed landing is due to bad aerodynamic design of the model). For this reason it is better to do the static judges before flying.

Fully agree to Stanley, C M & Ah Mak. Just want to share some further thoughts ...

For the flying aspect since “fly the model scale like” could be subjective and guess most pilots may not have experiences in watching how those real planes are flying, therefore it may be useful to provide some reference flying characteristics / styles for the 2 categories so that participants can reference those flying characteristics / styles for preparing their flying patterns, together add their own creativity (e.g. P51 warbird flying low pass, then release a “bomb” or continuous spinning, losing altitude and then get control again to mirror the situation of being shot by another warbird)

This may also facilitate Stanley’s suggestions that “各位參賽者本身也是評判,除了自己的飛機外,各位評判都會為其他像真賽機評分. I like this idea very much but if I were asked to give a score to ASW 17 or Salto, I really find it difficult to compare how the model are flying like a real one (as I have zero experience with that) ! The Fox example given by C M was a very good illustration and don’t know if someone can figure out some more, say around 5-6 reference flying characteristics / styles for the 2 categories and perhaps provide how long (say 5 – 8 mins) airtime for each pilot.

Oops, my pretty A6M zero was crashed last year and was “forced” to thrown away during lunar new year house clean up ... see if can build another warbrid shortly :?

YC的講法也很有道理,因這次是像真機比賽,那麼我們要求是飛機做得很像真還是飛得很像真呢,若降落後之外觀才作準的話,那麼我們的要求只是技術上的表現而已。

像真機比賽己定在4月3日在馬鞍山舉行。賽例還在草議中,希望盡快完成公告天下。基本上會分两個組別比賽;Scale 和 PSS。

我覺得應 A+B ,因過份偏重像真而捨棄飛行性能的搖控飛機是沒有意義的,平衡像真度與性能就是搖控像真模型的其中一項挑戰。

大家點睇 :o

第二本書個 Patrick Hanley,我個人覺得佢係昆水既,佢識 aerodynamic 唔出奇,呢樣唔係咩 rocket science,不過佢做生意既手法就麻麻,話說係大約兩年前我係佢網站訂左套 WingAnalysis Plus,係用黎設計機翼的,套野十足學生 D Lab project 既大集會 (Stanley 應知我講乜),唔 user friendly 又唔 robust,條 program 業餘有突(除左價錢 . .),問佢問題,答左兩次就唔複我 email,最後重 block 埋我 email,上次換電腦重裝條 program,問佢要 key 都唔複。算,慳番 D harddisk。
