Dear all wing fellow

After few months time and hard work, I am finally got few test shots of Micro Bee.
This little wing should be fast enough cause the stock motor should be Johnson 250.
Will update some flight report here in coming few days.

Hi Tsz Ming,

Will you be interested to make a Pico Bee of 12" wing span? That will even be more interesting for indoor electric fly.

Pico Bee???!!!
Very challenge.
Need to solve the weight and stall speed problem. I think EPP is not the suitable material for this indoor tiny wing.

1. Need hollow epp foam.

2. Need a very small gear box.
3. Tiny lipoly battery.
4. Very tiny RX, servo and motor...

All that cost $$$$$

Looks lovely, wondering if installed with BL motor. Must be very aerobatic and fast! How much is it? 8)

I don't have any idea at the moment.
Must be cheaper than Mini Bee (US$45).
Around US$35 plus shipping.

Tsz Ming,

I think Micro Bee is too big for indoor fly, perhaps it is too small for outdoor slope either.

To make a hollow EPP wing is a very good idea, I think you can make a molded EPP wing sheet and then the customer simply folds it and secure the wing leading edge with tape. That is light, with airfoil shape and easy manufacturing (I guess).

Nowadays, we should be able to get tiny electronic gears for Pico size wing. As Ah Pong has mentioned, we can even fit a variable pitch propeler drive system on it to go 3D - should be real good fun!

By the way, I am interested to have a Micro Bee, can you sell one of your prototype to me?
I want to make a tiny brushless CD-ROM motor for it.

Bring you one to the slope on Sunday.
Can you come to pick it up?

Hi Stanley,

To my understanding, I think the Bee could not perform 3D flying. It would be better for a plane having rudder, elevator and aileron. In addition, the motor shall install at the nose for better hovering.

Tell me if I am wrong.

Regards,

:D
