I and Y.C met with James in his hotel last night. We shared our views on r/c soaring, the activities in Taiwan, Hong Kong and elsewhere.
We also talked about the right approach to organize an international F3F race here in Hong Kong. He said that some big guys in F3F arena would be interested to come. It can be a two-day event with over 40 pilots. He suggested that we should also promote the HK race during our trip to Viking Race in Germany this October. He is also willing to help and serve the organizing committee if we decided to go ahead. I will table a proposal in the forcoming HKRCSS committee meeting for discussion.

On HKRCSS committee meeting last Sunday, we have unanimously approved a proposal to hold an international F3F race in Hong Kong next Oct/Nov. A budget and detailed plan will be worked out soon.
I would like to invite you to give some idea on the name of the proposed race - Dragon Race? Just my thought.

Your comments on any aspect of the proposed race are also welcome.

Ah Mak, you may try to slow down your breath, or stop 1,2 or 3 seconds in between every breath, it may help when you are nervous!

The call for participation in the first Hong Kong F3F Open is available at
http://www.hkrcss.org/HKF3F/HKF3Fopen.html

The call is preliminary at the moment and the detailed logistic arrangement will be discussed in the forecoming HKRCSS committee meeting next month.

By the way, we have already distributed some leaflets during Viking Race in Germany.
We hope to attract many F3F pilots from around the world to come.

Comments are all welcome!

剛剛收到消息,有5至6位韓國機友會來港參加 HK F3F Open! 各位機要努力練習備戰啦!至於組織安排方面,我地要盡快搵到足夠人手和志願工作人員幫忙。

Hi Patrick,

Would you like to sponsor HK F3F Open with a donation of some of your products?

Good chance to promote your product internationally.

Cheers

It is time to work harder to organize the HK F3F Open. On the last HKRCSS committee meeting, I called upon to set up an organizing committee for this event. But it seems that everybody is quite busy and can not make the commitment yet.
Now I would like to hold an organizing committee meeting to identify and distribute the job responsibilities. If you are interested to help making this event a reality, you are welcome to join the committee. I think we need to hold a meeting as soon as possible, how about next week on a weekday night?

In my mind the job positions in the committee are:

Contest Director - we need a person with good experience in organizing events with deep knowledge on F3F rules. He should NOT participate in the contest himself. He should have a team of helpers for running the contest.

Publicity - responsible for promoting the event. We really need to do more promotion urgently.

Finance/Registration - all money matters and registration, work out a budget

Local Arrangement - responsible for all logistics, venue booking, arrange transportation, organize award banquet, production of trophies, jackets, and etc

Sponsor Chair - responsible for securing sponsors from r/c manufacturers and other sources

If you are interested in making this event successful, come forward and join us. Non HKRCSS members are also welcome.

Many thanks!

MY PLEASURE, Stanley.
Just worry about our products are not good enough to be the prizes!

I knew one of the PR Manager in Kowllon Panda Hotel (actually it's located in Tsuen Wan), can get better price for the rooms if she still work there and also the local transportation too, tell me if you need the arrangement, I possibly can ask for a quotation.

我(及我架車)報名做義工。

我估當日,淨係運送水及食物上山都幾大工程。

The organization of the Hong Kong F3F Open is progressing smoothly. We have set up a registration page in
http://www.hkrcss.org/HKF3F/HKF3F_reg.html
http://www.hkrcss.org/HKF3F/HKF3Fopen.html
Because we can only accomodate a maximum of 40 contestants, please register as early as possible.

Thanks[/url]
