Hi Thomas, I also notice from your live example that your adjusted total time of task H should be added up as 528 instead of 530. Am I missing anything?

Hi Johnson, you are right, I just took a look and it should be added up to 528 not 530.
Who helped me score last time? Hahaha!!! I need to give them a present for giving me extra points :D

Hi !
What time will you guys go for the ferry?
Where are you going to park your car?
and how much does it cost for a whole day's parking fee?

Do we have to bring food & water or we're going to buy local food?

I'm going with my wife.
If you guys bring your woman too, they will not be alone :D

Hi KY,

Michael and I will leave Yuen Long at 7:30, we should arrive at the pier around 8:15.
We will be parking at Science park. Last time we went, the first 4 hours were free, I think it ended up being less than 40HKD, but I'm not sure if the promotion is still on. Since we're leaving on the 6:15 ferry, we might have to use whole-day parking this time, I'm not 100% sure of the price.

I recommend bringing some water just in case, but there is a store there with food and water. We will be eating lunch there.

My 'girl' needs to work tomorrow, too bad, haha!

updated the list to 72.270.

Carparking in Science Park is not expensive. It is better you arrive with your car early, drop down your lugguage at the pier. Then park your car and walk back (or taxi pool if you meet others), it may take 15~20 minutes walk from the carpark building to the pier.
I have arranged our lunch with Mr Lee of the village.
Please do bring some water as it is ...not cheap from the store.

I am afraid it will be a wet surface, so be prepared.

Bring tiny rx charger .

Portable loud speaker and talking timer are ready. Get familar with your stop watch , bring your pen.

See you tmrw!

Johnson

Michael will drop me off with our stuff, and he will go park and come back to the pier. If someone is there already, perhaps you can look after our stuff and I can go park with Michael, and save some time so he doesn't need to look for it as I've been there once.

I will definitely bring a pair of flip-flops for the trip home, hahaha, it's going to be wet :)

Yes, please bring pens!

I have actually done the flight group matrix a few minutes ago, so we don't need to do it there tomorrow unless there's a significant change to the pilots list. I have added "R1" and "R2" as reserved spots in case someone not on the list shows up and wants to fly.

Man I was feeling very good this morning, you guys need to come out and fly more! Guaranteed you'll feel 10 years younger after a few months of DLG :)
The tasks are really great fun, next time it'll be even better now that you guys all know how it works!

Stanley, I got some economical Euro-mouldies with solid core coming in 1 or 2 weeks, 3720hkd, take a look! My shipment is all Dbox versions :) The model is very popular in the US.

Image

Michael just started flying maybe 2 months ago, he called me one night and asked me about DLGs, haha! But now he is one of the most hardworking DLG pilots... he is usually flying 2-3 times a week... that's travelling more than 600km each week to fly DLG!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I should not go to the slope with you guys, it will be the final temptation and I will fall into the bottomless pit of F3F adrenaline!!

Hi Thomas,

F3F is not bottomless pit. 8)

Don't go to slope if you cannot hike.

Stay at the lawn where you used to be, but play F3B instead, which I consider as the bottomless pit !!

Hi Thomas,

I understand you are using 1s lipo on your ship.
Do you have any suggestion on servos + receivers etc.

I'm considering to get a lighter transmiter for dlg flying as well.

Haha, hiking is fun, hopefully I can join you guys one day!

Yes, I am using a 750mah 1s lipo in my current planes, and will switch to 1200mah 1s lipo in the future. Most 2.4ghz receivers will allow it, the only one I am aware of that is NOT compatible is the Hitec Optima series receivers, they do NOT work on 1s. Most other ones should work, although it's best to check. Of coarse, JR DMSS receivers are all proven to work well on 1s, including RG411BL, RG631B, and RG831B. I would not use the RG411B and RG611B receivers in our planes.

Virtually all servos will work on 1s. If installing servos in the wing, I recommend Tahmazo TS-D6011 or any other Hyperion DS09 equivalent. For fuselage installation I recommend JR DS385.

It's best to just use something that other people are using with success :)

OK Mak, I know you are struggling between F brand or J brand 2.4G system...

Anyway, as Thomas said, the current 2.4G system works well with 1s lipo. So go for large capacity 1s with 2.4G. Another issue to pay attention when you are transisting from old FM system to current 2.4G is the working voltage of receiver. 1S lipo works fine for our aged servos but NOT for those FM receiver. So don't risk 1s lipo in FM receiver.
Meanwhile you may use smaller capacity 3s lipo in your current TX to save some weight, slightly though.

I think most Futaba FASST receivers work well with 1s as well, ofcoarse, if you use XG8 you will automatically be in top 3 :D
