Typhoon Race 2011 contest information
Dear fellow TR2011 pilots,
As we are approaching the championship dates, the following is a reminder of our schedules, arrangements and rules that will apply during the Championship.
1) Reporting and Model Certification.
This will be held on Oct. 27 at the lobby of Kenting Bali Resort.
Please bring all your competition models for certification based on the following schedule:
19:00 - 20:00 Team Hong Kong
20:00 - 21:00 Team Korea + Team Singapore
21:00 - 22:00 Team Taiwan
We will also collect Registration fee NT$1,200 + Insurance NT$200 + Banquet NT$1,200 per pilot.
Windbreaker for TR2011 will be hand out at the same time.
The Banquet will be held on Oct.30 at 19:00.
Banquet fee for the companion of Championship pilot is NT$600 each. Children under the age of 12 is free of charge.
We will only accept New Taiwan Dollars for all the above fees. Please exchange New Taiwan Dollars at the airport or bank.
To: CM from Hong Kong, we will collect NT$2,800 for the 4 extra windbreakers you ordered.
2) Shuttle Bus between Kenting Bali Resort and the competition site during Championship has been arranged to leave at 07:30 from Kenting Bali Resort each morning and 18:00 from the competition site.
3) Rules: The following rules will apply to run as many round as possible.

The honorable FIRST competitor of the Championship will be drawn at 08:30 on Oct. 28.
The Championship Director will call out the next five competitors in the starting order to go to the waiting area. Once the competitor is called by the Championship Director to start, the competitor or his helper is to launch the model within 30 seconds. DNS will apply if the model is not launched within 30 seconds.
Attempt: DNF will apply if the model crashed during the attempt.
Safety line: Any part of the model crossing safety line during the measured flight will be penalized for 100 points. This will be judged by the Championship director without optical device.
Landing Area: If any part of the model landed outside the assigned landing area, the flight is official but gets zero score.
Passing of Base A and B is based on the fuselage nose of the model.
Upon completion of his round, the competitor must pull up and leave the speed course as soon as possible by start walking toward the landing area. Once the competitor crossed the safety line, 100 points will be penalized if the model entered the speed course again.

Half-round scoring might apply if we are able to have merely half of the competitors completing their rounds before dark on the first 2 days. The remaining half of the round will be carried out the following morning. 1,000 points will be assigned to the best run of each half-round. Combined scoring of both half-rounds will be used as the scores of the round.
FAI rules for F3F will be observed and applied by the Championship. Director when applicable.
Practice is not allowed between 07:00 and 18:00 during Championship dates (Oct. 28-30).
