I have a question, why all DLG plane need a long tail fin on the bottom?

That "somewhere in FanLing" is now occupied by power planes . .. :x

For the vertical fin, it is to counter the force on boom. During discus launch, there is a large force acted on the vertical stabilizer. If the fin is on the top only, it will "twist" the boom. Either the fin is teared off, or the boom is damaged.

The Fanling site is mainly occupied by EP planes or duct fans (Albert knows it well). As long as we can enter and share the space, why not schedule an event there?

The main reason is that during launch, there is a huge amount of yaw upon release that if the vertical stabilizer is like the other planes with only the top portion, the yaw will send the plane into a spiral and become un-launchable and un-controllable. The bottom portion of the vertical stabilizer counteracts the yaw forces from the launch symmetrically with the top portion of the vertical stabilizer so that it will launch straight and lose less energy.
