Weather forecast for this Sunday turned to weak/moderate north to northeast wind. Should we go to Lobster Bay or High Junk peak for the continuation race?

I also want to ask the possibility of holding the race one day earlier, i.e. Saturday, as the wind forecast is very promising at scale 5/6 easterly!
At least two pilots said last Sunday that they may not be able to attend the continuation race as they might have overseas trip. If we push forward one day earlier, they might be OK.
Please consider my proposal seriously to accomodate more pilots. Of course, the wind would be really good that the paragliders will disappear for good!

I concur that Saturaday could be a better choice. The wind on Sunday would probably drop after set up the course in Lung Ha Wan or High Junk Peak, liked Hong Kong Open 2007.

I am fine for both SAT and SUN.

What my concern is rain rather than wind. We cannot fly under the rain, but could play with thermal in low wind condition.

I just chatted with the designer of our timing gear (C.M). From the video shown above, some of us spent more time in turning than others. I then suddenly have an idea. How about modifying the standard beep sound to align with the time spent in the turns?

I know that in other region, the base man activates the beeper when the model passing the pole, but he would hold the switch until the model leaving the turn. The timer simply renders a mono tone signal until the model leaving the turn. As such, the pilot would learn how far he lost in each turn. This would certainly improve our turning skills.

C.M. siad this could be a training mode in the gear, and could be reverted to standard mode by just a switch. How is you guy's view ??

:?: :?:

While YC and Wing cannot be reached or have not replied in the past few hours, as well as three pilots confirm they will be on duty on this Saturday, I am afraid we cannot have contest this Saturday.

Contest will be continued on this Sunday. 維持原定, 本星期日續賽, 地點待決.

If northerly wind dominates, Lobster Bay .
Northeast - High Junk Hill

Let see if the eastery wind is still there tomorrow evening. (Very unlikely)

Look like it will be straight north this Sunday.
Robin's Nest lower north slope may be a possibility, but the casualty rates there are usually quite high! :x

Well, some happy pilots report that wind direction ischanging to NE this evening at MOS, yet it is still very stron easterly wind at this moment (6:15 pm), so if it is north east later tonight and tomorrow morning, we will go to High Jump hill, if it is straight north, I will suggest Lobster bay if the pilots , especially those who prefer to keep their weapons in good shape for Tawian Open.
So pilots where do you wanna to contest IF it is North Wind ?

I suggest:
NE: High Junk
N: Lobster Bay
