RC Slope Soaring in Hong Kong

I received some information about a new F3F model called Predator-V from a manufacturer in China. Here is a picture of it


The manufacturer's name is Competition RC Model which is located in Jinan in Shandong

I checked their address and noticed that it is exactly the same as Zoom Model which sells a Storm look-alike model months ago.

This Predator-V looks pretty to me and seems ok for F3F. From its appearance, it looks like a NYX-Furio V tail. They didn't give the price of this model on their web site, any body knows about this model or have owned one? What are the construction material used and the price tag?

I have just received some information from Competition Rc Models in China regarding the Predator V.

The Predator is an original design and is different from any other F3x model on the market. It does have some simalarities to the Furio-V but I have compared it to a Furio that I have here and there are alot of differences. To some degree alot of the F3x models are similar in some way though.

I have purchased from Zoom in the past, basically to see the quality of their product but for various reasons, Zoom has now closed and the copies they produced are a thing of the past.

I have spoken to some of the technical staff in Competition RC Model and discovered that when Zoom closed, these staff took over the premises and purchased some of the original equipment including a 3m CNC machine. They are now designing and producing a new range of competition orientated sailplanes and electric models. The Predator is the first of many they are designing, the future planes look exciting. Having seen the quality of their work before and what they are planning to build in future, I think this company will be worth dealing with and produce some excellent models that have so far only been available from European manufacturers at much higher prices.

Good to see these people are taking a new business in a direction with much better ethics to the old Zoom.

As Korean dealer of the manufactuer of Predator-V, I got some pics in detail and the price list for their dealers. I think the sales manager will give the price list to you Stanley, if you want.

I got the price list as well. If not I was out of town for a while, I would have already ordered one. After the world economic situation dropped drastically last weeks, my wife really stopped me from ordering any new model, although I admitted that this model is pretty good value for money!!!

Stanley, please let me know if you get more inforamtion, data about Predator.
I was told that an european customer has flown it with 1.6kg ballasts and flying was good, but there`s no thread about that.
It looks good to me, but I need more realiable data. Actually, I was disappointed with Zoom, old model of RCRCM, but Zoom had the value for the price.
