Hi guys,
Just a heads up that there will be a F3K contest held in Dongguan Humen by the SCSA on the 9th of December.

I have copied and pasted my post on TSMX:


大家都很期待的11月比赛，因各种理由要推迟，哈哈！因此，我们12月9号在东莞举行！快来报名！！

日期：12月9号
时间：12点报名，12：30第一轮
地点：暂定虎门公园

项目：

这次会有一点不一样，飞完5轮，我们不会drop你最低的分数。所以，每一轮都要尽力飞，加油加油！！
我们12点报名，12点30分第一轮，迟到赶不到你就拿零分拉。

请各位安排好，来之前吃好饭，或带好饭来吃。我们没有时间出去买东西的。
各位工作人员，请准时到，把场地setup好，才装自己飞机飞。
每个工作人员负责一件事，请好好做好，让大家能够准时开赛！谢谢！

For any pilots interested in going to the contest, it is a very convenient site.
We fly in Humen Park, which is 5 minutes walk from the Humen Bus station. I'm not 100% sure if there are any buses direct from HK to Humen, but I know there are quite many buses from Luohu to Humen.

The direct bus in the Luohu to Humen is number (16) 羅湖商業城. But they some time can stop in 永安/黃河,15 min walk to Humen park , and some time possible stop in 中心站(即虎門公園)旁 ! 3 min walk .But so bad 9/Dec is F3F in HK . So i can not go F3K ! :evil:

Had a fun contest yesturday in Humen.

Cold in the morning (long pants and fleece jacket), but by noon I had to change to a T shirt and a pair of shorts and it was still hot! Thermals were hence very strong, but very very small in diameter, especially near launch height, with massive sink everywhere that's not rising. That really helped separate the scores quite dramatically and resulted in a couple of planes landing in trees after encountering said sink.

Great day of flying, somewhat challenging conditions and had a tight race with Alex, I did not have the luxury of making mistakes at all during the whole contest.

I hope next year more HK pilots will be able to join me, Michael, and Kin to fly in SCSA contests.
Our SCSA league will be held on the 1st Sunday of every month unless there is a special reason (such as CNY in February). You do not need SCSA membership, although contests will be cheaper for SCSA members (still, even for non members it should be quite cheap).
