RC Slope Soaring in Hong Kong

很多遊人看見大家玩遙控滑翔機後，都會問很多有關滑翔機之資料，然後顯得非常有興趣，但離開後，可能立即已忘記。箇中原因，是他們未有真正嘗試過飛行之樂趣。
每次滑翔機會舉行試飛日，不是天氣問題便是風向不夾。根本起不到預期之效果。
我們計畫在未來數個月，在每個月的第一個星期日下午 (2:00pm to 6:00pm)，於飛行場舉行飛行體驗試飛。 這方式可以讓有興趣之新手在買機前可以先學飛，然後才決定是否繼續。 各會員亦可借此日在飛行場聚首一堂。

場地之決定最好是大家容易知道及一致的。我提議用天文台的天氣熱線；1878200 以下午一時後之大佬山風向來定。

東風 - 清水灣
東北風 - 清水灣

南風 - 飛鵝山
西南風 - 飛鵝山
西風 - 飛鵝山

東南風 - 取消
北風 - 取消
西北風 - 取消

大霧及下雨 - 取消

各位有甚麼意見，請隨便提出。

明天是八月份的教飛日。若是東風，教飛地點會在清水灣。 若是東南風，活動會取消。 明日下午有時間出席幫忙的，最好能帶來師傅線，因為我現在只有三條線，若是參加的學員太多，會不足夠應付。

上個月之教飛日只有兩個學員。昨日之教飛日已有九個學員，年紀有老有少。 昨日東風不太強，但學員亦很快上手，總括來說年少的較年長的學得快。 由於此教飛日之推廣只在每個星期日之一小段時間，知道此活動的行外人並不多，我們正好有時間作準備。相信假以時日，加入滑翔飛行的新人，必會越來越多。

我和 Ringo 正準備一批 E-sky 控改裝成 Futaba 九仔用之徒弟控，可以隨時加在九仔上作教機之用。免費提供給各師父使用。

今天之試飛日在飛鵝山順利完成，共有十多位學員。到場幫手的機友為數亦不少。多謝！多謝！ 可惜有風的時間只有約一個半小時，但大家仍在一片歡樂聲中渡過。 我們已經發現有些學員輪候時間太長，有些卻飛行時間太長。下個月可能要試行派籌制度，每人最多只可飛十至十五分鐘。

I am happy to see the progress also. We must run the program step by step as there are still a lot of unknown, we need time to solve every problem once we know. During yesterday, we can see 2 problems. One is the parking problem, another is the teaching schedules. We cannot promote the activity too hard before every problems solved otherwise it will give bad image to visitors. With the help of pilots at site, we have solved a lot problems and I know the teaching schdule issue can be fixed very easy. But car parking is difficult to solve. We are open to accept any suggestion.

今天下午在清水灣順利完成十月份的試飛日，多謝各位機友相助。 今天共有五部教機，參加人數有二十多人。部份到場相助的機友有帶機的出機，無帶機的在學員旁邊做助教。大家在一片喜樂聲中渡過了一個下午。有個家長還要即時買機，可惜那時陳伯已離開。
今次安排每個學員大約飛 30分鐘，一切很順利，下次亦會採用同樣方法。

Will 5 Nov. 試飛日 launch at 清水灣?

The weather forcast indicated the wind direction on this Sunday will be North-East, so the 試飛日 will be held at 清水灣 unless the wind direction is changed suddenly.

The wind direction from the HK Observatory may not be correct al the time. Use today as example, the telephone information center tell us the wind is North at Tai Lo Shan, but the East wind is very good at Clear Water Bay. I think the method of deciding the place by calling HK Observatory for the Tai Lo Shan's wind direction may not be correct all the time, but this is the best way we can do. If there are any suggestion, please let us know.

The weather underground web site is also useful to check the wind direction periodically. Think they may update it every 10 minutes or so. We normally refer to Waglan Island for the Easterly Wind indication. Of course all the masters here know this very well. This is just a reminder.

我地上次去天文台參觀果陣果度既科學官話橫瀾島既風向係代表全港既背景風。其他地區既風向都係受局部地形同熱氣流風影響。唔可靠。

去飛鵝山飛要睇大老山﹐因為個氣象站就係正果度﹐其他大場如清水灣﹐馬鞍山同石澳等就要睇橫瀾島。清水灣同石澳由於近海﹐風力會同橫瀾島差唔多﹐但馬鞍山由於 tun 左入去﹐風力就可能有唔同﹐一般都係偏弱﹐譬如尋日下午我都去左馬鞍山﹐當時橫瀾島吹東風﹐22 km/hr. 馬鞍山風向一樣﹐但風速就 10 km/hr 都唔夠﹐結果都係飛唔到。今日同聽日清水灣應該好 OK。 風力唔大唔細﹐個天又藍﹐容易睇機﹐最適宜學機。

You are welcome, our next Training day will be Dec 3. If you cannot wait so long, you can come to our flying place and get more information from our pilots. They may let you fly their planes. If you have your own planes, it will be even better, we can help you to set it up there.

今個星期日若吹北風，部份師父會在北風場放機，但試飛就可能沒法提供。

飛鵝山北風場交通不方便，清水灣北風場拾機太危險，所以北風不教機。

東北風係唔係清水灣,可以點去
