Hello, I'm Max (Lankymax when I'm online).
Nice to meet you, HK glider guiders!
I used to fly RC gliders a long time ago (here are the only pics I have), then I got distracted by full-size gliding, then travelling around the world...
But I've decided to get back into gliding and I see there are lots of keen glider fliers here.
Perhaps you can help me with a question -- I don't have a car in HK so I'll be walking to the launch sites. I've seen people with very handy-looking tall rucksacks for gliders (I think they were all F3F gliders) around Ma On Shan. Where can I get one of these bags?
I look forward to meeting the RCSail members on the slopes this year.

Hi Max,

Yes, if you see people carrying gliders around Ma On Shan, they are most likely F3F pilots as many of them including me are living in Ma On Shan. In fact, we will have a F3F competition tomorrow up on the Ma On Shan hill.
If you are interested in, just hike up and have a look around to meet some of our crazy pilots.
You can take a taxi to Ma On Shan village and hike up from there for about 30 mintutes to reach where we fly.

Cheers!
Stanley

Thanks Stanley, I also live in Ma On Shan, so I'll pop up and say hello.

Hi Max,

Nice to meet you yesterday.
As said, if you want to restart the hobby here in Hong Kong and would like to fly F3F here, you may like to buy some second-hand models to start with before considering brand new high performance models.

I just noticed that someone is selling a Skorpion made by Austrian manufacturer in the forum, here is the link

You can google translate. In fact the pilot selling it was also in the camp yesterday. Let me know if you need help.

Thanks for your welcome, Stanley. It was nice to meet you too.
Yes, I'm interested in the Skorpion, and I'll try to get in touch with the member who's selling it.
