Post subject:  What sailplane for a beginner?

Hello everyone,

I'm completely new to rc slope soaring and would like to know what are some good beginner sailplanes to start practicing with? Also where can I buy these in HK?

Thanks

Hi louishk,

Welcome! Begineers should start with EPP gliders. "EPP" is the name of the material that is like foam but more flex. The gliders made with EPP are virtually undestructable, and is relatively safe if unfortunately hit someone. Windrider of Hong Kong makes a lot of good EPP planes. You can start with their "Bee II"

Before you buy your first model, let me tell you that HKRCSS provides free RC glider training. You can find our trainer 三哥. He will even lend you a glider to fly so you can start with nothing! 三哥 can be found in Clear Water Bay (Easterly) or Fei Ngo Shan (South-Westerly).
