After a LONG LONG wait (one and half year) that I have already lose faith on them, three Viking F3Fs (double carbon) have finally pulled out from VV Model's factory! They will be arriving soon. If I remember who have ordered one:

Ah Wai (冷氣偉) still keep his promise i guess

Y.C. (but he has already changed his mind to Aris) - who want this then?

Unknown person - sorry that's me

The EURO-HK$ exchange rate is currently at 1 - 10.25. I am crying!  they are so expensive now!

The Vikings have arrived in good condition.
The shipment also includes some wing joiners for the Sting. I couldn't remember who has asked me for the wing joiners. Let me know who want this. Thanks.

Stanley

Recently, I am busy in building my Viking.

The ballast system of Viking is rather primitive. It just has a tube of 18mm diameter and no mechanism in fixing the ballast slugs in the tube. See the attached photo. I wonder what is the best way to make a cap to fix the ballast slugs in the tube so that they can be removed or inserted fairly easily.

I have no experience in making the lead slug. I wonder who can help me to make the ballast set. I know Y.C. the master has probably retired! :(

The tube is 42 cm long, so I need 7 slugs each is 6 cm long with diameter 18mm.

By the way, I still have one Viking which needs to find a home. Ah Wai is no longer interested in Viking and Ah Pong has too many playmates anyway! Let me know if anybody interest.

Wah Stanley, is it a 230VAC switch on your plane

Some (RCM) said this type of toggle switch is not recommended for power models. The vibration of the engine may causes intermittent contact.

To C.M.,

I have a few of this kind of switches in stock, so I just used it for convenient. It seems ok for glider with not much vibration.
Do you know who can help to make lead ballast set? What is the best way to reenforce the tube, it seems very easy to damage on hardlanding.

Yes Yes you are right :D

Pong-pong, crash the RaceM or the Viking, you can still have their parts interchangable with perfectly matched color :o

Hey Pong Pong, don't give up ! C M is very right for inter-changable parts :o

Also you have white/red NYX ! So all-in-all NYX, RaceM, Viking will "look" the same fleet and very difficult for your wife to realize your new playmate (i.e. Viking) :o

You may also mixing all the best from NYX, RaceM and Viking like pluging Viking wings into NYX  or modify RaceM with NYX wings
