Just read "Same hill, no wind, no rounds" from Kevin's Place

Sounds so familar like F3F races in Hong Kong 8)

Guess this could be good for Hong Kong & Taiwan Viking team as they used to participate F3F races at low lift conditions :o

BTW, anyone also bring along C M's super weapon - "Yellow Demo" to Viking 2006

Stop press again...
Just a short conversation with Kin. The Hong Kong team is in the middle of the rank and is progressing well in Round 2. (Round 1 is abandoned by the organiser).

More good wind please...........

Don't you see that we have strong wind when Stanley is not here in Hong Kong? I am quite sure the wind will build up after Stanley left there :)

CM,

You are right indeed.
But the question is: When will Stanley leave Viking? :x :x

I just checked the HK weather forecast, the wind speed would reduce to force 3 on Saturday. I guess Stanley will arrive HK that day. :?: :?:

Hi Pong,

As I remember Stanley will leave before the Viking ends, and so they should still have a few days of good wind :P

It doesn't matter when Stanley will arrive Hong Kong. The point is, he goes flying on Saturday and so we will lose the wind on that day

喂喂 係Viking o個 班友做乜一幅相都冇架? 我地呢便就黎冇水吹喇 :x

Hi guys,

Just a short update for day 4:

Team position of HK is 22 out from 31 teams.
Only one round was held due to the bad weather (raining).

According to Kevin Newton's Web page, the identity of the 'wind god' disclosed.

:?: :P

Thank you, King :o

It seems that it takes quite a long walk to go to the flying site. :x

I am more interested in those full scale scales planes. :P Ah Mak, if you can read this post and have a chance to ride on those planes please help to take photos of the cockpits, especially ASW27, ASH26 and DG600!!!

Hi,

As you wish, I (the wind god) just landed and back home safely after more than 20 hours flight. I am really tired especially I got a fever in UK the night before I left.

As you might have known already that I joined the Taiwan team (number 77) for the first three days of contest. I certianly wish I could continue and complete the whole contest but I am pre-occuppied with my job duties, so I have to leave earier. I actually completed two rounds of contest in three days.

You see no wind - my fault again! :x

First day the wind is marginal and only round zero is run which is not counted anyway. The second day - no wind. The third day, two rounds were run.

I am happy with the first round result - my time is 48.34s which positioned me in the forth place in the list. With the second round I was in 18 place, not bad!

Anyway, I was told that the wind picked up again after I left

The HK VR2006 team was a bit unlucky this time. They arrived with all lauggage missing and was too busy to dig out their stuff in the airport on the first day. Even when the forth day when I left the scene, Mak's Aris is still missing in the jungle of cargo in London.

I will post some photos and movies as soon as I have time. Here are some

No wing and we went for sight seeing and met the Germany team. Ah Kin and Ah Mak, why you are looking at the Herrig's brother? You want to bit them in the contest?

Hi Stanley. Welcome to Hong Kong.

Thanks for the photos. We have been waiting for you guys' message in these days! I think it may be some difficulties in getting the internet access there, isn't it?

So Ah Mak was flying his Race-M. It does not perform well in calm wind, ,

What's the temperature there, as I see Fat Fai only put on a T-shirt, while the others are in thick coats!
