Post subject:  HK F3F Open
As HK F3F Open drew closer, we would like to setup a separated thread to continuously post information about the preparation, the local arrangement, the progress of the contest and the results.

Here I would like to report a few progresses:

1. Number of contestants
Currently, we have about 15 local pilots and some overseas pilots joining the race.

2. Stephen is working hard on the design of the contest jacket. Each contestant will have a jacket with a contest number and his name on the jacket. The color of the jacket is as shown:

A label as shown below will be imprinted in the left front side, the visitor's country will also be shown in the label and a big contest logo will be in the back side.

For those who, although not participating in the contest, would like to have a beautiful jacket as such, you can purchase a jacket. Your name can also be imprinted on the jacket but the contest number will be 00. If you are interested in, let us know. The cost will be around HK$200.
Stephen will send out the design for production next week. Please hurry.

3. We will have a banquet after the race. The venue will be in 明珠海鮮舫 in Shatin. The cost is HK$200 per person. So if you are interested in joining the banquet, let us know.

More information will be given once they are available.

Hi fellow HK Open pilots,

Some contestants suggest that we should have a team award. What do you think? Since we still have time to make a trophy for the team award, it shouldn't be difficult for us. A team may consist of 3 members. If you have no problem with this, please form a team with a name and email the names of the members to me.

Mak, you are certainly my preferred top team mate!

Hi Wing and Yeung,

I wrote "東方不敗" on the wing of my Demo when I was in Welsh Open. It is very effective because I was in the West and so . .. "敗" :) But now it is different, as we are in the east and so we will "不敗" now 8) (hopefully) (The idea of "東方不敗" comes from a very funny / stupid commercial in the satellite TV in UK)

I can print the sticker for you to put on the plane if we all agree with the team name. But the first thing is, do we have team in the HK F3F open?

Frankly, there is no problem to team up to enjoy the game and have more fun, but how about our overseas guest? Should not leave them alone? Are they willing to form international alliance??...Hard to tell!

Other than this flying event, there were some opportunities in the past on international races on RC gas buggies, on-road cars for participants from different countries to form alliance teams. Perhaps some HK guys or pilots from overseas can form teams among different countries for more fun on team competition other than just with the individual!

Hummmmm ... 東方不敗 sounds good :idea: I am ok to go with this team name (assume there will be team in the HK F3F open) - How about put sticker on the fuse - somewhere between the wing & tail ? See if we need two size as I will also bringing 60" as well - don't know why I still fly 60" much faster than bigger planes oops :?

Hi C.M.,

If you are going to have a team 「東方不敗, I guess there will be another team called 「葵花寶典」. But who are willing to join that team because they need to castrate (自官) first in order to get qualified?

I agree CM's incantation is powerful and useful ,for the reason is battery fail !
But nothing stop me to RACE !
