Dear all,

In accordance with FAI rules on F3F, the radius of the nose of the model cannot smaller than 7.5mm in any orientation. Please check before you go.

Tips for checking:
Find an old CD-ROM or DVD etc., cut it in half across the hole in middle. (the hole is 7.5mm in radius)
If the tip of the nose touches the edge, your model fails.

"cut it in half" is not exactly true. Please see the following diagram:

According to source from Taiwan, proven planes in VR are not required to conduct measurement but it is not sure for Skorpion.

If that's the apporach, then Skorpion should belong "proven planes" because there were many Skorpion flying in VR08 :!:

BTW, can anyone help to clarify with the organizer that if any F3F planes as appeared in the Taiwan Open Pilot entry list are not ok :?:

I believe it's fair to asking the organizer to point that out in advance, unless it is a new F3F plane (which nobody know) or self-modified :idea:

I really don't want do what Kevin was doing for his Skorpion :?
