The wind forecast for this Sunday is marginal scale 3, east to southeast wind! :x

What'd happened to this global climate? We have been battling to run F3F contests in HK this year with only 4 successful contests the past 8 months under very marginal conditions. This "weak wind" effect also happened in worldwide contests in US, Welsh, Europe.

We have the highest recorded temperature for Mid Autumn Festival! Why?

Don't blame the "赤柱效應",
it's the El Nino effect! Blame the global warming we all contribute to!

In order to prove that is not "赤柱效應", would you mind to go to Macau for a short trip this Sunday?

We (most of the usual F3F players) don't mine to sponsor the ferry toll.

He he.........

When I was in UK last week, it was blowing like a hell. After I returned and C.M. went there, the wind stopped!
So definitely, "赤柱效應", is false!

Nevertheless, since HK and Macau are geologically so closed, it would not be possible to test the "赤柱效應", if you guys buy me a ticket/hotel package, I would not mind to sacrifice myself for a trip to a far away place, how about Taiwan 墾丁龍磐? where I can join the taiwanese for a F3F contest there this weekend to see whether the wind meter will stop there or not!

I have the timing gear on hand.

While the Government Observatory forecast is easterly wind, let's see if wind guru willhave any favourable update tomorrow.

I just heard Kin has some injury.

Ah Kin, can you come this Sunday?

If not, we will need a volunteer to replace Kin as helper?

Kin, get well soon.

Hopefully we may have some easterly wind this Sunday according to the Observatory forecast.

However, the windguru forecast for next week looks really good.
Though it has been agreed that we will only cancel and will not postpone races when condition is unfavourable, will you enthusiastic pilots consider postponing the race to next week 28 Sept 2008?

I think the weather on 28/9 is still not certain it will be a big gamble if we postpone the race. It seems that the easterly wind on the coming Sunday (21/9) is marginally ok for the contest, who know the thermal activities may be good that day! Anyway, I would suggest sticking to the original schedule, if we can not complete more than 3 rounds on 21/9, we can propose to have a continuation race on 28/9.

(For example, the guy who cannot stop mentioning he is the first and the last HK Open speedman, and how he flew 5x sec by his fully loaded Demo in calm wind . . . :x )
