32 pilots now!
Anymore?

冷氣偉去左邊?

I think if we have that large number of pilots, we really need to schedule the race in an efficient manner so that we can get at least a total of 10 rounds for a two and half day contest. We really need to move the landing area aways from the race track so that landing and launching can be overlapped.
Basic arithmetic: if we have 40 pilots and each pilot needs 3 minutes (35s launching plus race time), then each round can be completed in two hours and each day (9:00 to 5:00pm) can get 4 rounds.

Yup, agree with C M :!:

In fact, for recent f3f formal / informal races in MOS, most circumstances pilots were able to immediately entered into landing track right after finished off the 10th leg and then landed their planes immediately :o

Otherwise they just needed to circle one more time and then landed succesfully  unless there were other factors like butterfly setting problem or some visitors staying in landing place forcing them to circle further :o

For racing in MOS, guess paraglider occupying the f3f track & landing track will be the major factor affecting the racing schedule

During the informal race held on 5 Aug 07, we can run 14 round x 9 pilots = 126 rounds in just 4.5 hours, not even counting the interrupt of 20 minutes of heavy rain). This is around 2 minutes per pilot without separate landing in MOS. Thus, 3 minutes should be more than enough.

However, we should keep the race starting according to schedule. Even though we plan to start at 9:30am for our monthly races, we can never make earlier than 11am. It is critical to arrive on time and have sufficient manpower to install the F3F gears.

If we consider KML as backup slope for S-SW, then a separate landing seems necessary because the landing field in the middle of the track. Pilots cannot retrive their plane after the next pilot starts.
