According to the weather forecast, look like that 25/8 (Sat) would be better. Would it be possible for you to join the contest if it is moved forward one day earlier?

I am available on both Sat (8/25) or Sun (8/26). If according to WindGURU forecast now, Sat looks very "worst" (almost like no wind) while around Sun noon time, it will start blowing "just flyable" SE wind :o

See if we want wait until mid of this week (e.g. Wed) to see if more promising forecast !

Ah Mak pull a high split-S on the right side. While on the left side he only flew a half split-S. Is it because of the wind direction?

Yup, if according to 天文台七天預報, forecast on Sunday is 東至東南風3級

However, windguru on both MOS & FNS currently predicted a very different picture :x likely very W to WSW to SSW etc :x not likely as E to SW as stated by 天文台 :!:

MOS

http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=85573

FNS (south)

http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=85575

Since in the past 天文台 "betray" us a lot with poor predictions :? so in the past few months I have been referring Windguru predictions instead, which found to be much more reliable

Hey, Windguru has just updated its prediction, it shows southereasterly wind after 10am on Sunday. So we probably should off to Leung King then.

Yeah yeah, agree with Stanley that Leung King should be a more "safe choice" if proceed to race this Sunday (8/26) :o

Since windguru now predict Sunday wind pattern as

8am - no wind
11am - 7 km/h (SE)
14pm - 14 km/h (SSE)
17pm - 14 km/h (SSE)

So unlikely can fly until noon and likely SSE wind will start picking up around 12pm till later afternoon :o

Just to "save" parking fee and avoid nothing to do in the slope, shall we consider get together at later morning, say 11 am (sharp) on the slope and aim to start the race at 12pm ? Just a thought ..

Is it possible to park the car somewhere nearby free of charge and then only drive one or two big cars up to the slope to save parking cost? Does anyone know there are free parking spaces nearby?

By the way, if the wind is S to SSE and no rain, we may consider to hold the contest in the upper level of Jat's incline. Landing is a bit diffcult there, but at least it has better lift potential and also convenient for parking.

Any other suggestion and opinion please?

Since the race has been origially re-schedule on 8/26 (SUN) and Kin already hands up he could not be available on 8/25 (SAT), so better stick to 8/26 (SUN) :o

Major challenge right now is changing forecast :x Both SAT & SUN now looks very marginal :? However, E wind is coming and predicted to be good E wind on 8/27 (MON) :!: As usual - holiday no good wind but working days always good wind :x

Let's pray together to ask wind god if he can shift nice E wind one day ahead from (MON) to (SUN) or we all do something together for group sick (snake) leave on next Monday :o
