天氣預報為大致天晴。南至西風4級。Image

記得早上9時機師通告，9時半開賽。最後一個回合在4時半前開始。上次有獎人士記得帶，比賽器材。

預計天氣酷熱，大家記得載足夠的水及shelter。由於部份機手未去過堅媽嶺，可以約在鳳溪等。

Is it possible to move forward the contest one day earlier to July 7 (Saturday) because HKRCSS will have an exhibition in HKAC in Kai Tat airport on July 8 (Sunday)? We need to man the booth that day.

The weather forcast has predicted that the wind direction will be shifted to southerly instead of southwesterly. Look like we should go back to the peak of Jat's Incline in Fei Ngo Shan. I guess the new slope is only suitable for southwesterly wind. It may be too off normal for southerly wind. It is just my guess, you might have other opinion anyway.

The slope is basically OK for south wind as long as it is not southeast. In general, Jat's Incline should have better lift and speed especially under moderate wind condition like this Sat. However, I think over half of pilots do not prefer landing in Jat's Incline. I am neutral on this. Please drop your comment.

星期六如果肯定唔落雨,扎山同埋堅媽都無乜所謂,但落起雨的話,扎山二樓就大鑊喇,另外啊Pong可唔可以查下堅媽嶺條路是否單向單程,還是双向單程呢,呢條路無乜被車處,有D怪怪哋.

Agreed to both Angus & Kin that given similar condition, 扎山二樓 will provide better lift & more speedy. However, in case of sudden rain or fog, 堅媽嶺 will be much better for escape (less than one minute for back to parking space) & no impact by fog

I used to practice in 扎山二樓 for southern wind, it's nice slope. However, last time when I visited Ceres there, 扎山二樓 seems no longer have any good grass for landing - just stones & baby trees :? and I still not sure if can manage to land safely on right hand side (like Ceres) :oops:

In case we want to race at 扎山二樓 , I'm still ok but perfer to race at 堅媽嶺 this time - need to keep planes in good conditions for Welsh OPEN ah

Agree with wing on the just in case situation and it is mobilephone network covered, less risk of frequency interference.

After consolidation the comments, it is confirmed to hold the contest in Sheung Shui Kin Ma Ling.

For those new comers, we can meet at entrance of 上水鳳溪 at 9:00am. Since the parking space is limited, it is recommended to park your car tidily and closer to each others.
