As I said, my suggestion is for a system with two possible configurations:

Config A: Race 4 planes simultaneously and allow the pilots standing in the middle of the track rather than in Base B edge of the track. This is for the assumption that we have sufficient man power to man the bases (4 for base A and 4 for base B).

Config B: Pilots stand at Base B edge to race with 4 beepers positioned in Base A. This is a man-power saving mode, but to my opinion is less interesting more dangerous too!

Any other suggestion?

More dangerous ?
Might be.

But, if think about DSing, the most safest place is the position that behind the pilot.

Anyway, I am open to all suggestion.

Because of the sufficient man power and experience, we could arrange maximum 3 planes for safety.

I think we should design a system with a high level of flexibility. If the system can accommodate a maximum of 4 pilots, it can also accommodate 3 pilots, but not vice versa.

C.M., do you have any idea to build a system like that? I think HKRCSS has the financial resource for this project.
If we have a MoM scoring system in place, we can hold more MoM races and this would be good fun and I believe we can attract more r/c pilots to join the club activities.

No problem, if you are willing to wait :)

Hi CM,

Do we need to wait for another 2 years?

I suggest to hold a match with a very simple set up as soon as practiable. Any comment?

I think it has to be an automatic system if audio cue is used for signalling the turn.

C.M., if you are talking about years to build the system, then we might instead build a simple system with lights first in order to restart the MoM activities as soon as possible.

Need to get more flying and practice before TR08. The new F3F timer is also on the way. So can't spare time for MOM equipment.

Ah-Pong has an idea of using existing RC equipment to build a simple system. I think it works.

(1) When the pilots are at one of the turning points, they are always looking at the course as well as their models.

(2) If they are standing between the bases, they cannot always see the other's models.

I think (2) is more exciting for the spectators

There may be some pilots need to "需要走多一圈才能完成", and at the same time some other pilots may lag over an entire lap. Then it is not a simple task of "CD只需要看燈號先後次序決定到達終點的名次".

That's why I suggest each line judge counts the lap of his pilot.

Dear all,

The equipment is almost done.

As you can see on the back, there has 4 RCA sockets for hand-held switches.

I also reserve space inside the box for internal Li-po battery. On the side, a socket for charging the internal Li-po. In case the internal battery is run out, a spare socket for external battery would act as backup.

Power switch is not neccesary! When using internal, switch to external is off, and vise verse.

Ah Kin,

The space is reserve for the Li-ion that you gave me sometime ago. Would you please bring nine more to me on coming Sunday?

:?: :?:
